The Day Before developer returns with "Fntastic 2.0", and is asking for your money again

The Day Before developer Fntastic has come out of the woodwork to announce its return.
The Day Before launched in December 2023, after a rocky road to release which included delays, the developer being forced to state its game wasn’t a scam, and criticism for its use of unpaid volunteers. It even got tied up in a bizarre trademark dispute with a calendar app also called The Day Before.
In the end, The Day Before didn’t last long. Its debut was a mess, and the studio shut down a mere matter of days after the game’s release, with players’ receiving refunds for the product. And to be honest, I thought that was that. But, I was wrong, because the studio is now back… and it wants your money again.

UPDATE 25/9/24, 10.35pm: Nexus Mods has confirmed iArtorias removed their mod, which let players bypass PSN for God of War Ragnarök on PC, in order to “avoid any future action from Sony”.
In a conversation between Nexus Mods and iArtorias, the creator said the mod had “got too much attention” following its release, and they ultimately thought it would be “better to remove it from public” use.
iArtorias added even though their mod did not alter “anything in memory related to Sony products”, they felt it was “better [to] be safe than sorry” in this case, adding it was their decision to remove the mod from Nexus.

We’ve had a chat with the mod author about this and can confirm that the mod was removed due to a personal decision after it received significant tr…

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 gets "more helpful and effective" bots, private lobbies, and more

A week after Saber Interactive promised a whole bunch of player-requested features and fixes for Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2, the first of these are now here – with the sci-fi shooter’s latest patch introducing “more helpful and effective” bots, private lobbies, and more.

Saber Interactive spent a fair bit of time discussing bots last week, acknowledging player complaints that the general ineffectiveness of teammate bots mades solo games “significantly harder”. And thus Patch 3.0, which lifts various “inhibiting restrictions” during the campaign to make bots more “helpful and effective, while still not beating the game for the player”.

Previous restrictions preventing bots from finishing off enemies have now been “heavily eased”, for instance, and bots can …
